The speaker for the evening is Dr. Florian Grander, Executive Director of Sound Water Stewards.
With a distinguished background in marine biology, marine conservation, and science communication, Dr. Graner is helping Sound Water Stewards strengthen community partnerships, inspire public engagement, and address the challenges facing the health of the Salish Sea and local shorelines. As the founder of Sealife Productions, Dr. Graner is also an accomplished filmmaker and cinematographer, producing award-winning documentaries that deepen public understanding of marine ecosystems and the urgent need for ocean conservation. His latest film Orcas — Life in Black and White, released in 2025, has received international acclaim and strong regional interest throughout the Puget Sound.
